Warm-up: Pretend that someone you know is giving a presentation. What would you say to them to convince them that a mutimedia slideshow would make their presentation better? What does the slideshow add to the presentation?

Objective: Scholars will be able to add animation to their slideshow by creating a four slide slideshow.

Warm-up: What is a “cassowary.” Send me two pieces of information on the cassowary.

Hint:  The cassowary is a type of animal. You could tell me in one sentence what kind of animal it is. Then, in another sentence, you could tell me where this animal lives.

Warm-up: Most of the world does not live like we do in this country. The graph below shows what the world be like if we were to shrink it down to 100 people.


How many people have no electricity? Imagine what your day would be like if you had no electricity. What would that day be like? Describe it in as much detail as possible.
